Something so exciting, so unusual, and so joyous has happened that I just had to blog about it. I booked a domestic 25,000 mile “saver” award using Delta SkyMiles. I know..I know…. I hated using miles for a ticket I could buy for $200 bucks. But let’s face it, I’m not likely to be able to use SkyMiles for something like the award seats I want to Europe next summer, so I figured what the heck.
In fact, I’d already purchased regular tickets from DCA to MIA when I decided to just check SkyMiles availability. Much to my surprise, there were several options available including Delta’s new nonstops to Miami from DCA. So I canceled the tickets I’d just paid for, and quickly booked SkyMiles award tickets for 25,000 miles each. It’s gotta be saying something that I find this to be exciting news? 🙂
