The luxury chain now involved with backing New York’s premier marathon on Nov. 2 is hoping to sell wealthy runners or fans packages priced at $6,700, Crain’s New York Business reports.

The luxury Pierre, part of Taj Resorts and Palaces network owned by the Tata group, is the selling the packages and it has a special tie to the marathon, the story says.

A Tata entity –  Tata Consultancy Services – this year became the No. 1 sponsor of the race. In fact, the New York Times noted recently, the official new name of the marathon is now: the T.C.S. New York City Marathon, reflecting Tata Consultancy Services. (For you Twitter users out there, that’s #TCSNYCmarathon.)

So, if you’re interested in spending $6,700 for one night, Crain’s says the ‘s package provides: a stay in one of the Pierre’s 11 grand suites, a pair of sneakers at turndown (you must provide your shoe size in advance), a 60-minute massage after your run in your room for two, and a pasta dinner for two at the ‘s restaurant.

The cheapest rooms at the cost $900 for that night according to Crain’s, so maybe you consider the extra TLC worth the extra price.
