The Amex Platinum Card is about to lose one of its benefits. Jun 30 is the final day for this benefit in case you’re looking to use it. However, given Saks’ own financial woes, I would recommend that you use it right away in case you haven’t done so already. Saks has been facing inventory issues so order cancellations and delays may be the norm rather than an exception, given the fact that they’ve just announced that they’ve gone bankrupt. American Express is yet to announce a replacement benefit once this goes away on July 1, 2026.

Amex Platinum Card Benefit Going Away

The key date is June 30. That is the last day to use the current Saks Fifth Avenue benefit on the Amex Platinum Card. If you still have your first-half credit available, this is the final month to use it. In practical terms, I wouldn’t wait until the final day. Amex credits can sometimes be quirky, especially if an order does not ship immediately or a charge posts later than expected.

If you want to use the credit, place the order well before June 30 and make sure your card is already enrolled in the benefit.
