My Favorite Sky Club – RDU

Call me crazy, but my favorite Delta Sky Club is located at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. It’s not the biggest Sky Club I’ve ever visited, nor is it the quietest. Furthermore, the RDU club doesn’t even feature Delta’s Luxury Bar of upgraded beverages for a fee. Yes, I’m a bit of a sucker for the “for profit” cabernet.

What this Sky Club does offer is modern but classy furnishings, plentiful power outlets, nice views of the runway, nice people, a short walk to the gate, and these interesting stuffed peppers that I don’t recall seeing anywhere else. Maybe I just haven’t been looking for the stuffed peppers.

Those stuffed peppers were part of DL’s pilot program of food “enhancement” in the SkyClubs. Several airports including RDU (as well as IND, LAX, LGA, among others) were part of the test.

What did you think?

Great club! I’m in there every week. The team there working weekday mornings is incredible. Some of the best service I have ever had. Enjoy!

Marshall,

You must have had a huge case of jet lag. The American club just next door is way better in terms of space, internet speed, friendliness of staff, bathrooms, showers, just about every measure. I live near RDU and would be glad to take you as a guest sometime.
