Another Round of JetBlue Mint Class Expansion

In June 2014, JetBlue a historically all main cabin airline launched JetBlue Mint Class it’s transcontinental business class product.  Not only did Mint Class feature amenities that rivaled American, Delta, and United but the fares were significantly less.  Introductory fares were $599 with some flights priced at just $499.  JetBlue Mint Class quickly became the preferred way to travel cross-country for many.  Over the past few years since the product was launched, JetBlue has announced multiple Mint Class expansions.  Today, JetBlue announced yet another Mint Class expansion.

Las Vegas, Seattle to Get JetBlue Mint Class

JetBlue Mint Class debuted on a select few routes between New York and Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Today, Mint Class is available on flights between JetBlue’s Northeast hubs and the West Coast, select routes to the Caribbean, and between the West Coast and South Florida.  The next wave of Mint Class expansions includes Seattle and Las Vegas.

Seattle

Beginning in February and April 2018, JetBlue will commence Mint Class service from Boston and New York to Seattle.  JetBlue will be the only airline on both routes to offer a premium transcontinental product.  Delta previously sold New York-JFK to Seattle as a DeltaONE route, however, that route has since switched back to being sold as Delta First Class.

Mint Class flights from Boston to Seattle will begin February 15th, 2018.

The Caribbean

Another thing that differentiates JetBlue’s Mint Class and premium products offered by other US airlines is Mint Class’ strong presence in the Caribbean.  JetBlue Mint Class has been offered on select flights from New York for over a year now, however, JetBlue announced further expansion into the Caribbean.

Overall

JetBlue Mint Class is one of my favorite premium products.  Mint Class’ unique amenities coupled with JetBlue’s affordable fares makes the premium cabin product a no-brainer on many transcontinental routes.  I’m excited to see JetBlue continue to invest in its premium class product.  However, I’m still waiting for the airline to add flights to St. Louis.
