Every now and then, I come across some really inspiring video content. I am huge fan of creative work, whether they are in the form of writing, theatrical productions, or something as simple as a well-made home video. On that note, here are some of my favorite (not necessarily related to travel) videos that I simply love for the talent and the creativity.
1. The Shadow Act: “Attraction”
The group Attraction gained prominence in the Britain’s Got Talent TV Show. Out of all their performances, this one is my favorite. The beautiful performance is under 3 minutes and backed by the musical song “Footprints in the Sand” from Leona Lewis.
2. The Shadow Act: “El Gamm”
There is another shadow act group called El Gamm. They had done a shadow act performance with a touching tribute to nature, with “Colors of the Wind” aptly playing as the background music. It’s amazing the message you can carry across so quickly in these performances.
3. Disney’s Moana
I rented Moana a few days ago, and I just love this film. The animation (how awesome is technology?) The visual (how could anyone not want to swim in those water?) The catchy tunes (even the antagonist’s song, like “Shiny” is super catchy). I’ve been obsessed with this song, and I can listen to it all day. This scene just stirs the wanderlust in me.
4. Claire and the Crosby
Claire is a 4-year with an amazing musical future ahead of her. She had been featured on Ellen twice, and also performed the song with the voice behind Moana, Auli’i Cravalho. I am a fan.
5. Keniche Ebina, an Epic Matrix Style “dance”
I’m not sure it’s even considered “dance” as much as it is a performance. Although I hadn’t watched Matrix in full, some of the action scenes have been spoofed. I’m not at all surprised that Keniche was the winner that season.
(Note: The video is not as scary as the thumbnail image looks).
There’s something to be said about finding the things that inspires you, whether that’s in traveling or something else. They are the little sparks in life. These videos are humbling and inspiring. It’s always wonderful to see all the talent, creativity, dedication and love that people put into their work to create these masterpieces.
