Hotels – What Would You Do?

Today, around 7pm I walked into my hotel room after a day of work. Nothing unusual about that. The coffee was replaced, the towels fresh, all was well except this.

Notice anything unusual?  As far as I’m concerned, my bed looks like someone went for a romp in it while I was at work. You’ll also notice that I’m not mentioning the name of the hotel. That’s not how I roll. My question is this? Do you think I’m wrong for marching myself right down to the front desk with this picture? What would you do in a situation like this? Really, I’m curious.

A photo says a thousand words… I’d think you were right to see the MOD and I’d strongly consider moving to another property after getting a new room for the night. As you have options and are not in some remote destination with limited hotels. I’d ask for a new room, then seek a similar property to transfer to for the rest of your trip. I’d much rather pack up and move somewhere else where I don’t have a now potentially hostile housekeeping staff looking after my belongings when I’m at a client site. i would assume someone laid in it so I would ask to be moved. I would not have felt comfortable staying in that particular room in case someone else did have access.

Go see the MOD…that is not acceptable at all. It is almost like the housekeeper got sidetracked and left in the middle…no excuse, you are a paying guest, they owe you a bunch of points or breakfast or something.
