Fantastic LifeMiles Promotion Going on Now!

Avianca’s LifeMiles program is no stranger to impressive promotions.  Avianca ended up winning a Freddie Awards last week for “Best Promo in The Americas.”  However, for the second time in less than a year, Avianca is running a 2-for-1 promotion on all LifeMiles purchases.

The promotion is on-going, however, is only available to Avianca elite members and Avianca cardholders through May 7th.  After May 7th, the promotion is available to all LifeMiles members.

Additionally, the promotion, like all LifeMiles promos, is very straightforward.  Now through May 30th, you’ll receive 2 LifeMiles for the price of 1.  You can purchase up to 200,000 miles for the promotion to apply to your purchase.  After 200,000 miles, you won’t accrue any bonus miles.

LifeMiles are $33 per 1,000 miles.  You can buy a minimum of 1,000 LifeMiles per transaction.  With this promotion essentially means $33 bucks will buy you 2,000 LifeMiles.

Why Buy LifeMiles?

Avianca LifeMiles are extremely valuable.  Avianca’s partners include Lufthansa, Swiss, United, Thai, and SAS.  For 87,000 LifeMiles, you can fly in Lufthansa’s fantastic First Class product.  That’s just the tip of the iceberg.  LifeMiles can be used for some pretty awesome domestic redemptions as well.

My review of Lufthansa First Class

Overall

This is an amazing program.  Anytime an airline runs 2-for-1 miles, you bet I’m buying some miles!  I was able to take a $11,000 flight in Lufthansa First Class for less than $500 with Avianca’s LifeMiles.

Will you be purchasing LifeMiles with this 2-for-1 promotion?
