We’ll see how this works out for them. Air Premia has picked other destinations already well served by United and Korean carriers, and I’d hope the prices will be competitive. However, I don’t see the LAX prices as generally low enough to justify not flying Korean Air.

There are situations where panic is understandable. This does not seem like one of them. My reading of the statements is that the passenger is making a bigger deal of this than he ought for compensation. The truth is likely somewhere between what the airline states and what he states.
If this happened to me, I’d probably still be laughing by the time they get the door opened.
