Over the last decade or so, I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties all over the world, traversing six continents. While Hilton points often get a bad rap for their astronomical prices, they’re still very easy to earn.

The former Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach, Florida has officially relaunched as the Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort. Signia is Hilton’s approachable luxury brand, think elevated service and premium design without going full Waldorf Astoria. This is a solid addition to that lineup and it fills a gap in South Florida’s resort market.

Here’s what the property is bringing to the table.

Renovated Hilton Property

At 1,000 rooms, this is a big resort. The lobby has been redesigned with social spaces in mind and the new oceanfront area, called The Verandah, leaning fully into South Florida’s open-air lifestyle. There are pools, outdoor event space, an adults-only Verandah Social Club (also accessible to locals via ResortPass) and a Kids Club Day Camp for families.

The Club Signia room tier is worth flagging for points enthusiasts. You get private lounge access with ocean and intracoastal views, curated food and beverage throughout the day, priority access to amenities and highly personalized service. If you’re redeeming Hilton Honors points and have Diamond status, this is exactly the kind of property where your upgrade could make a meaningful difference to the experience.

On the meetings and events side, the property is massive, over 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall. If your company is planning a large event in South Florida, this one is firmly on the radar now. And then there’s the dining. Six updated, chef-driven venues that cater to both guests and locals.

Hilton has been steadily growing the Signia brand in resort and gateway markets, and Hollywood Beach is a smart location for it. If you’re sitting on a healthy Hilton Honors balance or a free night certificate, perhaps earned through the Hilton Aspire or Surpass cards, a stay here could be a genuinely solid redemption, especially during peak South Florida season when cash rates run high.
