The Aer Lingus Bia menu features some elusive hot options which never seem to be available. I always enjoy eating when flying but it seems the things I want are the most popular and have always been sold out.
Recently the menu cover features a Mac & Cheese Pie, which sounds like something I’d quite like. At breakfast time, I always take a delicious Irish Breakfast, but outside of that, I wanted the pie.
No Pies Available
On one recently flight, there were no pies or Guinness slices. Therefore, I had to settle for the mouth pain inducing Sausage and Bacon Baguette. Once was enough, and so on my next flight, I avoided that and went for an Aer Lingus staple, the Chicken and Stuffing Sandwich.
Elusive Hot Options Continue
Undeterred, on my next trip I also asked for a pie or failing that a Guinness slice. Once again, these had all been sold on the previous flight, so I opted to try the Cheese, Rocket and Coleslaw Wrap.
Overall Thoughts
Having now tried all of the meal options apart from the two elusive hot options, the stars of the show it seems, I am living in hope that my next flight will have one of them available. Since it’s a midday departure, the chances seem to be high.
I deliberately sit at the front of the aircraft so I can be served early. Imagine seeing a pie go by to someone else and then being told it was the last one. The horror!
