Over the last few days, I’ve been putting out resources that you can use in order to change your travel plans in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. As many precautions as we may be taking, we have no control over the actions of others. A man with a pending Coronavirus test just did the unthinkable and took a JetBlue flight without informing the airline or the crew.
Pending Coronavirus Test
CNN Reports that the passenger flew from New York (JFK) to West Palm Beach, Florida on the night of the 11th of March. After he arrived, he informed the crew that he’d been notified that his Coronavirus test was positive.
JetBlue put out a statement about the incident.
“Last night’s event put our crewmembers, customers, and federal and local officials in an unsettling situation that could have easily been avoided, and as such, this customer will not be permitted to fly on JetBlue in the future,”
This is absolutely bonkers as he took the flight in spite of multiple directives by the White House, the CDC and the World Health Organization.
The Pundit’s Mantra
The passenger surely has some explaining to do. He better have a convincing reason to provide to the authorities. His actions have clearly put everyone at risk, right from airline crew, to airport staff and fellow passengers. This incident clearly underscores the fact that while we may remain vigilant, it only takes one person to only make the situation worse.
In the meanwhile, here are a few resources that you can access in order to help you make amends to your travel plans.
