The Chase Sapphire Reserve card created a huge splash in the premium credit card market when Chase launched it back in 2016, with an initial offer of 100,000 points. However, Chase has made some changes to the card over the last couple of years. The annual fee has also been increased to $550, $100 higher than the initial $450.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Offer

As per Doctor of Credit, Chase is currently sending out targeted offers via snail mail. With these targeted offer, you can earn a welcome bonus of 70,000 Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $4,000 in the first three months. Other than the welcome bonus, all the other benefits and credits are the same.

Earning Points

Chase has recently updated its points earning structure for the card by offering higher points multipliers for booking via Chase’s own travel portal.

  • Earn 5x points on flights, 10x points on car rentals and hotels purchased through Chase’s travel portal. You’ll also earn 10x points when you book purchases you make with Chase Dining and when you buy any Peloton equipment (ends 03/31/2022)
  • Earn 3x points on all other travel and dining spend, including takeout and delivery
  • You’ll earn 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases

Credits and Benefits

  • The Chase Sapphire Reserve continues to offer the $300 travel credit. You can simply use to get a $300 credit on any purchase that codes as travel and you’ll get the credit automatically. Through the end of this year, Chase has also added grocery stores and gas stations as eligible purchases for the purpose of this credit
  • Also, you can redeem points at a value of 1.5 cents per point when you redeem to book travel via Chase’s travel portal
  • You can also transfer to Chase’s Airline and Hotel partners at a 1:1 ratio
  • 12 months of complimentary Lyft Pink membership
  • Complimentary DashPass from DoorDash and another $60 in DoorDash credits till the end of this year if you sign up now
  • $120 credit on qualifying Peloton purchases until December 31, 2021
  • Priority Pass Select Membership

Fees

The annual fee for this card is $550. If you want to add an authorized user, each new user will cost you $75.
