Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen card issuers cut credit limits and also make it tougher for people to get approved for credit cards. However, I’m glad to see this 100k offer return after a short hiatus. Doctor of Credit found this lucrative welcome bonus on the co-branded personal Marriott card by Chase.
Chase Marriott Card
After Marriott acquired Starwood, Amex and Chase split the co-branded card portfolio for Marriott. If you’re looking to get this offer, then you’ll need to apply for the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card. Please note that Chase’s and Amex’s complex web of restrictions apply to this card and the sign-up bonus.
The product is not available to either:
- current cardmembers of the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier), Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ credit card, or
- previous cardmembers of the Marriott Bonvoy™ Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier), Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), or Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ credit card, who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.
The bonus is not available to you if you:
- are a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days, of Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express);
- are a current or previous cardmember of either Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card), and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months; or
- applied and were approved for Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest®American Express Luxury Card) within the last 90 days.
100,000 point sign-up bonus
Chase’s 5/24 rule also applies to this card in addition to all the restrictions mentioned above. However, if you’re eligible, you can get the bonus quite easily as you don’t have to spend a lot. Following are the details of the offer:
- You’ll earn a sign-up bonus of 100,000 Bonvoy Points after you spend $3,000 in purchases in the first 3 months
- The $95 annual fee will be applied and isn’t waived for the first year
- You’ll earn 6x points for each dollar you spend at hotels in the Marriott portfolio
- When you renew your card, you’ll earn a free night reward each year for a one night stay (redemption value up to 35,000 points)
- You’ll also get automatic Silver elite status, but it isn’t worth much in my opinion
You can apply for the card here on this page for a full list of offer terms and card benefits.
The Pundit’s Mantra
This is a limited time offer but Chase hasn’t published an offer end date. For those who are eligible and under 5/24, this card is a great way to earn an extra 100k points for just 3k in spend. While Marriott isn’t my first choice as a hotel chain, I may apply for this offer simply because I value Marriott’s points for other reasons. I use my Marriott points frequently by transferring them to their wide array of airline partners.
If eligible, do you plan to apply for this 100,000 point offer on the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card? Tell us in the comments section.

You can earn a welcome bonus of 50,000 points when you apply for this card using the link below!

This is a very nice bonus. How long will this bonus be around? I have to wait until 11-1-2020 until I’m under Chase 5/24.
Also Air France has a nice signup bonus of 50,000 miles. I think we are seeing banks offer bigger rewards for those few who can qualify: checking account, business bank account, 720 credit score, under 5/24 and no late payments.
Hi Marshall,
Chase hasn’t specified a particular bonus end date for this offer. However, the 100k offers do come and go every now and then. If you drop under 5/24 in Nov, then you could well see another similar offer next year.
