Cathay Pacific Airways plans to make Boston its newest gateway in the USA, according to an Aug. 22 press release.
Cathay Pacific plans to launch four-times-weekly, non-stop service from Hong Kong to Boston, subject to government approval. Slated to begin on May 2, 2015, the Hong Kong-Boston service will provide the first nonstop flights between New England and Hong Kong, the airline says. Expect service on a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a four-class configuration.

This marks Cathay Pacific’s most recent addition in the USA in 2014. Previously, it launched Newark service, added a fourth daily flight to Los Angeles and added three flights per week to Chicago.
