It’s the time of the Black Friday sales and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Many airlines are offering deals on their tickets, with some interesting savings to be had.
The deals below are for people departing from Ireland, UK or Europe. The Air China deals from Germany to Australia and New Zealand are the best of the bunch in my mind.
Air China Business Class to Australia and New Zealand
Air China had a flash sale on 10 and 11 November and those deals are back again from Thursday 22 November to Tuesday 27 November. The best deal is flying from Frankfurt, Munich or Dusseldorf to Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland for €1,506 return.
Aer Lingus up to €100 Off Flights to the USA
Black Friday has come to Aer Lingus, with the airline offering discounted flight tickets. Those travelling from Dublin to Los Angeles, San Francisco or Seattle, will get €100 off a return economy class ticket.
Purple Friday Instead of Black Friday at WOW Air
From now through to 25 November, Icelandic carrier WOW Air are offering Purple Friday deals. Travelling in November, December and January, low fares are available to destinations in the USA and Canada.
Irish people can take advantage of flights to North America for €119 with a variety of destinations on offer. The link to the sale page for Ireland is here and remember that adding bags and more can increase the cost above other airlines. So compare wisely!
More Purple At Flybe
Another airline with a different shade of purple is UK carrier Flybe. Purple is the new Black is the title of their black Friday sale and they are offering 100,000 seats at £25.
Black Friday at Ryanair
Ryanair is offering a different type of thing each day of the week. For example, today it is fares as low as €7.82 from Dublin to a wide range of destinations for travel December to February.
Check their web site each day to see the different offers that are presented. Anything under €10 for a flight is a huge bargain in my eyes, so keep an eye on it.
Overall Thoughts
The whole aim of Black Friday is to part you with some cash in a traditionally quiet time of the year. Once you’ve picked up your bargains, you’ll then head off and start Christmas shopping, keeping the retail bonanza rolling.
Excellent deals such as the Air China business class tickets are able to be found so it is well worth keeping an eye on the offers.
