Do Qatar Airways offer a seat better than Qsuites? Actually, yes, they do!

Qatar Airways are rightly very proud of their Qsuites in business class. People have been falling over themselves to praise the product and having flown it, the praise is justified. What you might not know is that the Doha based airline offers a seat better than Qsuites.

You might be shocked at what I just said. Better than Qsuites? Impossible, right? Well, when checking out various reviews online, I kept coming across the odd comment saying one seat is actually better.

The Seat Better Than Qsuites

For those who may not know what the Qsuite looks like, there’s my review here plus you can find a picture below. Needless to say, it’s a very nice experience all round, being private, comfortable and well designed.

However, as I said, there is another seat Qatar Airways offer which is better. That is the Qatar Airways Airbus A380 first class seat, which is available on flights from Doha to London, Sydney, Bangkok and Perth. That’s Perth in Western Australia, not the one in Scotland, incidentally. Don’t believe that it’s better? Here are some comments I’ve found online. Bill says, “I have flown Qatar both in business and first. First is a more comfortable seat.” I can almost hear the mic drop. How about another one, this time from Andrew? “I’m 6’4″ and the seat is waaaay better than Qsuites if you’re tall. My feet get a little cramped in Qsuites.” As someone who dislikes squeezing my feet into business class foot cubbies, I can totally relate. Still not convinced? I’ll let John have the final word. “My wife and I just flew this route last month. Having flown Qsuites many times, the First Class seats on the A380, while dated, are much more comfortable, especially while sleeping. The Qsuites may be newer and shinier, but I would take the A380 First Class experience all day long.”

Overall Thoughts

Many people online seem to be at pains to make out Qatar Airways’ first class is not better than Qsuites. It seems those who have flown both do find that in actual fact, the first class seat is better.

Having not experienced the A380 first class myself, I can’t speak about it. However, I have eyes and looking at the comparison pictures shows that one is far, far more spacious than the other.

I am booked to fly Doha to Sydney and back on the A380 in first class early near year. I’ll make sure I review it closely to see if the above comments are in fact true.

Have you flown both Qsuites and the A380 First Class on Qatar Airways? Which one do you think is better and why? I’d love to hear the pros and cons of both. Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.

I’ve never flown Qatar so I may be doing it wrong by starting with the best but I have my wife and I booked Bangkok-Doha in February. I specifically chose that to try out their first class. I think it should be lovely, particularly since I’m combining it with my first ever flight on Etihad, flying in first class as well. Hopefully the ME3 live up to their reputations.

will

I flew QR F and EH F a couple years ago on similar sectors from europe to the middle east and back and they were both amazing, you wont be dissapointed

The first class cabins are of an older design that has not been updated on many aircraft. I love the space in first class as well. Also the Qsuites are very good, impressive. Either way you go wrong.

Either way you can’t go wrong I meant to say..
