I received a nifty little post card in the mail today from American Express. They’re offering a special deal with NCL – a $300 dollar credit to spend on board when you book Haven or Suite accommodations nine months or more in advance with any American Express® Card. Use promo code AMEX to book by March 31, 2015.
Visit NCL.com/AXP for more details along with terms and conditions.
This offer appears available to anyone with an American Express Card. However, I couldn’t help but wonder if NCL is close to joining Cruise Privileges. A reader alerted me to the possibility a few weeks ago, and a look at the Cruise Privileges home page appears to suggest it.
However, if you click on the NCL logo, no specific benefits appear like they do with the other lines. Perhaps something is in the works? I suppose this isn’t surprising now that they’ve merged with the parent company of Oceania and Regent who were program participants previously. I’ve reached out to Amex for clarification on NCL’s overall participation in the Amex Cruise Privileges Program. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a Haven or Suite accommodation on NCL, here’s a chance to pick up $300 in extra onboard spending money.

NCL always gives $300 OBC for booking a suite 9 months in advance.
Do you have to book through AMEX or a certain OTA for this deal or just use your AMEX for any booking? That’s my big question. You know how cruise line discounts and “sales” go.
The terms seem to indicate any booking channel.
