You can tell things are going back to normal in aviation when the airlines start having a sale on flights. Aer Lingus have decided to bring in some discounts which should please people.

Airfares have been pretty high since travel reopened and at least in the short term, that doesn’t seem to be changing. These sale fares are likely the best that you will see for a while.

Aer Lingus Sale On Flights

This one is called the Take-Off Sale and will run from now through to 19 September. All flights across the Irish airline’s network are on sale, but with different date periods.

Those wanting to head across the Atlantic need to travel between 1 November 2022 and 31 March 2023. European travellers will need to head off between 1 October 2022 and 15 February 2023. Winter break, anyone?

The headline prices are the usual sale prices offered by Aer Lingus. European flights start at €29.99 and those to the US and Canada are from €149 each way. Actually, the example above shows the total price slightly cheaper than that.

There seems to be plenty of availability at the moment, which is great. Whether it’s a weekend in New York or Boston, or a trip to a fun European city, you’re sure to find something suitable.

Overall Thoughts

It’s always smart to take advantage of a sale on flights. These fares being offered by Aer Lingus are very good, though it must be pointed out that these include no checked baggage. These are straight hand baggage only prices, which is perfectly fine for a short trip, but if you’re heading away for longer you will need to pay more.

Naturally frequent flyers will also earn something in the AerClub too. Departures from Dublin and Shannon to the United States also have the benefit of US Immigration Preclearance so you arrive in the states as a domestic passenger. Always very welcome indeed!
