A few weeks back, I wrote about my displeasure about the slow devaluation of many of Amex’s credit card offerings. However, Amex continues to offer amazing welcome bonuses on many of their card products. I was surprised to see these offers pop up on the Business Gold card and the Business Platinum Card.

Business Platinum Card and Business Gold Card Welcome Bonus Restrictions
While both these offers are fantastic, bear in mind that Amex’s welcome bonus restrictions apply to these offers.

You also may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer based on various factors, such as your history with credit card balance transfers, your history as an American Express Card Member, the number of credit cards that you have opened and closed and other factors. The Pundit’s Mantra
If you’re eligible, then both these offers present a great opportunity to rack up a ton of Membership Rewards points. If you’re simply looking for the points, then I’d suggest that you go for the Business Gold card. It has a lower annual fee and required minimum spend is half compared to the Business Platinum card.
However, if you need a premium credit card for your business travel, then the Business Platinum card is a better option. However, you’ll need to spend $20,,000 in 3 months in order to earn the 200,000 points bonus.
