If Delta is your primary airline of choice, then today is the final day for a limited time offer of 100,000 bonus miles on the Delta SkyMiles Reserve card from American Express.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve

The Delta SkyMiles reserve card does carry a hefty annual fee of $550 but it’s packed with benefits.

Firstly, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 100,000 Delta SkyMiles after you spend $6,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. Also, this is a fantastic card for people who primarily fly Delta, due to a couple of reasons. You get lounge access. Moreover, you also get a path toward elite status with Delta.

Status Boost

Each time you spend $30,000 in a calendar year, you’ll earn 15,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs). You can earn up to 60,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) by spending up to $120,000 in a calendar year.

MQD Waiver

If you spend $25,000 in a calendar year, then you can waive the MQD requirement towards Platinum, Gold or Silver status. This can be pretty easy to achieve for most people if you spend at least $2,084 per month on the card.

Lounge Access

If you simply carry the card in your wallet, you’ll get access to Delta SkyClubs as well as Amex’s Centurion lounges. Moreover,  you’ll also get two Delta Sky Club One-Time Guest Passes each year with this card.

Annual Companion Certificate

You’ll receive a complimentary companion certificate each year for renewing the card. You can book a Domestic First Class, Delta Comfort+ or Main Cabin round-trip companion ticket each year upon renewal.

Baggage Allowance

For simply carrying the card, your first checked bag will be free on Delta flights booked with your card. Moreover, you’ll get complimentary baggage insurance for lost, damaged or stolen baggage by simply booking the entire fare with your card.

20% Inflight Credit

You’ll receive a 20% statement credit for any purchases made on board Delta flights. This could be things like spend on food, beverages or headsets.

Other Benefits

Moreover, you’ll also get access to valuable benefits like purchase protection, return protection and extended warranty for simply making purchases with this card. While these benefits may seem standard, they can go a long way in saving you hundreds of dollars.

The Pundit’s Mantra

Unlike some of the other co-branded Delta credit card, the reserve card doesn’t offer much in terms of earning Delta SkyMiles. You earn 3 Delta Skymiles per dollar for all of your spend with Delta. However, the card makes up by offering a wealth of other benefits.

Firstly, you have a pathway towards elite status through credit card spend. Secondly, you get access to premium lounges with Delta SkyClubs and Amex Centurion lounges. Thirdly, the annual companion certificate can also go a long way in  helping you wipe out the annual fee by simply booking a trip with family or friends on a Delta flight each year.

If you’re looking to sign up for this card, then today is the last day for the limited time welcome bonus of 100,000 Delta SkyMiles.
