Wynn Boston Harbor

Boston? Really?!

Yes! There’s going to be a new Wynn Resort in Boston. I was looking at rates for Wynn/Encore Las Vegas and at the bottom of the website there was a link to “Wynn Boston Harbor”. That stood out to me, so I went to investigate!

Wynn Boston Harbor

The Wynn Boston Harbor is scheduled to be open in 2019, and it will be located in Everett, Massachusetts just five miles from Logan Airport! It is projected to cost $2.4 billion and it will feature 629 rooms, a casino, multiple restaurants, convention space, a spa and a harborwalk which will include boat docks, waterfront dining and retail.

A bit of history on the development: In September 2014, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission voted to approve the casino. In January 2015, Wynn Resorts bought the 33 acres of land along the Mystic River for $35 million. Then, amid controversy and delays, construction finally began in August 2016.

A Water Shuttle?!

Yup! The resort states that they will provide an exclusive water shuttle service across the Boston Harbor. Additionally, the harborwalk will include a ferry stop with connections to Long Wharf and the World Trade Center in South Boston.

The Wynn Boston Harbor seems really interesting to me. Do you want to stay here when it opens? Comment below!

  1. “Do you want to stay here when it opens?” <== sure. I was at the Wynn Palace opening last year. For some reason this property does not excite me that much. Perhaps, the entire situation with Massachusetts gaming. FWIW, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods are pretty impressive properties. So, competition will be good, indeed.
