I’m excited to say that this week’s “Worst view ever?” marks our 10th in the series! And I proudly use “our” because the series is completely based on your submissions.
This week’s winning submission comes from road warrior and longtime reader Lin Humphrey (@LinHumphrey), who stayed in the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Carlsbad, N.M. It’s located 10 miles from the airport and about a 45-minute drive away near caves such as Carlsbad Caverns.

Here’s a case where no further explanation or quotes are needed. I might add, though, that it’s one of the top-ranked hotels in Carlsbad on TripAdvisor, but as we all know not every view can be one to brag about.
