I was flying from Orlando to Dallas on AA and I thought ‘This would be a nice time to buy a snack!’.

But no !
On the menu hidden in plain sight is a little line that ruined it all for me. ‘Snacks are available on select flights over 1,100 miles’.

I mainly fly out of DFW and so this one line ruins it all for me. Most flight from DFW will be shorter than 1,100 miles.
The distance from Orlando to Dallas by road is 1,080 miles so I guess flying direct is even shorter.
Because of my position in the country there are not many flights I can take from DFW that would qualify, mainly Seattle, maybe Boston and such.

This was really disappointing as I was eager to try the Fruit and Cheese tray and the Brooklyn Biltong, air dried beef that is tastier and healthier than jerky.
Oh well, I guess that will have to wait for a longer distance flight.
Of course, that line also says on ‘select’ flights longer than 1,100 miles so who knows when and where that will happen.
Good luck on your snack acquisitions.
If it makes you feel better, they’re not available on flights across the entire country either. On 3/4 flights between CLT and LAX in the last 2 months, when I asked to purchase a snack tray, they said none were available.
Thanks Joe P. I have been able to buy snacks in the past, I just don’t remember what leg we were flying.
