In conjunction with it’s earnings announcement today, American Airlines announced that it has order 2 B777-300ER’s from Boeing. I’m not positive how they arrived at the number of 2, but it is what it is. It’s actually nice to see American ordering another widebody aircraft, and I’d hope that economic conditions and success with its newly immunized alliance options will support a few more orders for larger aircraft in the near future. Can’t wait to see how they’ll be configured.
