I have posted about the new Terminal F that is under construction at Dallas / Fort Worth airport but there is also a large upgrade underway at Terminal C , DFW’s busiest terminal.
There is a whole new pier expansion being constructed and it will add more facilities and include 9 gates, a total gain of 4 gates.
(Another similar expansion is happening at Terminal A which will include 5 new gates.)
These are the details included in the press release. There are various phases to the construction, which also include demolishing and rebuilding the south parking garage.
The whole project will be completed by 2030 but there are phases that will be completed every few months between now and then.
These are pictures from inside the terminal near where the construction is happening.

Here is an overhead view of the terminals at DFW airport. The construction is happening below where it says ‘Regency’ at 5 o’clock if the terminal is a clock face.
The construction at Terminal A is at 1 o’clock.
I was on the SkyLink train a week ago and I was able to take these photos of the construction on Terminal C.
This is what it looks like from Terminal E. Most of the basic building has already been constructed and they are now busy completing gates and the inside of the terminal.
Here you can see how close the construction area is to the planes that are dropping off and picking up passengers.
This is the view I had of the expansion at Terminal C from my seat on the plane. It is an impressive looking space and I am looking forward to the new look and all the new facilities.
Another angle of the construction from the plane as we taxied out from the gate.
On the other side of the terminal this is a view of the destruction and modification of the roadway.
Terminal A:
This is the initial construction site at Terminal A. It will follow a very similar plan to Terminal C using some dead space caused by the curve of the existing Terminal.
I hope you enjoyed this update on the construction at Terminal C at DFW airport.
