Abu Dhabi is already facing an excess capacity issue. These openings (and several more unbranded ones) will make the situation much worse. The Emirates Palace/Intercontinental/Bateen Wharf strip especially is getting 6-8 more openings in addition to the existing 5 5-stars already there. There is nothing of note in the area except the future ADNOC HQ and the area is absolutely saturated.
Curiously, the Saadiyat projects are all hopelessly behind schedule despite that being the only attractive location in Abu Dhabi with the 2 existing properties there easily doing the best business in Abu Dhabi. That is realistically the only location anyone should be building in now since it offers prospects of high rates and occupancies which are set to improve even further after the opening of the 3 museums (Louvre, Guggenheim, Zayed national).
