I was in Nashville and got to spend a week at the Gaylord Opryland hotel and resort.

A hotel review has been done separately but I thought this would be a great time to share the experience of the gardens at the Gaylord.

The Gaylords are a chain of 5 hotels that are a part of the Marriott group. There are Gaylord hotels in Dallas, Orlando, Denver, Washington DC and Nashville.

The Gaylord Opryland in Nashville is spread around 3 big garden areas as well as an enclosed water park. It is a massive hotel with more than 2,800 rooms available.

Delta:

This is the Delta Island area. The island is surrounded by a river.  It is so big that you can take a boat that goes all around the island. There are stores, restaurants, wedding venues, waterfalls and all sorts of garden areas in the Delta part of the hotel.

They have a huge Christmas tree up at this time of year. Below is the boat on its tour.

Garden Conservatory:

This area is smaller than Delta but it is a magnificent garden with multiple levels for observation.

Cascades:

Cascades is the first area you will see after checking in as it is where the pathways split to all the areas of the hotel.

There is this lovely tunnel constructed underneath the big double waterfall in the Cascades area.

Soundwaves waterpark.

I was not able to use the water park while I was there but here are some stock Marriott pictures of the park, it has indoor and outdoor areas. Looks like a lovely place to spend summer days.

Conclusion:

I have stayed at 4 of the Gaylord hotels so far (Denver is still out there) and I would highly recommend them.

Enjoy your stay at whichever Gaylord you have the pleasure of staying in. Keep this review in mind if you are considering visiting Nashville.
