I’m not much of a gambler, but the relationship between Royal Caribbean and MGM M-Life deserves a mention every now and then. I’ve blogged about this before, and an email received today reminds me to blog again.

I just called back, they pointed out the third line of the fine print:

“Guests that earned tier through 3rd party relationships are not eligible to receive onboard benefits.”
That’s a change. I’ll update the content.
I am talking about the drinks/internet benefits, not the free cruise. I called the number in the post from message 3 to get this info. They were unable to find my Mlife inf in the system. The operator took my Mlife number, name, and birth date and contacted Mlife and called me back with the next day with the info that Hyatt comped status was not elegible for the on board benefits.
Have you tried to get Mlife benefits on a Royal cruise lately?
We leave on a cruise the end of this month, I just called to apply my Mlife Plat status to the reservation and was told that since my status was via a Hyatt match I would receive no benefits on the cruise.
Let me check a few emails. This is an issue that seems to come and go. One question – When you say benefits, are you talking about the drink chits, etc? I’ve had a few folks email me that they were trying to get the comp cruise via this benefit, and that is not part of the deal for anyone other than M Life spenders.
Applezz, did you try calling the number in this post? http://mjontravel.boardingarea.com/2013/10/03/an-update-on-mlife-and-royal-caribbean/
