In the Dallas, Texas area and got to spend some time in Grapevine which is just north of DFW airport. There are many business hotels as well as vacation hotels in the area and I am reviewing the Marriott Courtyard that I stayed in.
On Google and Apple maps it is listed as the Courtyard Dallas DFW airport North. It has its own entrance to the left as you approach but that is hard to see so almost everyone enters through the shared entrance with the Towneplace Suites Dallas DFW airport which is part of the same building.
Most Courtyards are similar but I find that they all have distinct differences. This will normally enhance your stay with a fancy bar and restaurant, a glamorous pool or other aspects.
On the day I wrote this review you could book a room for $178 a night.

The entrance area:
This is the lounge area opposite the check in desk. Nice couches with a tv available.
This hotel contains a nicely comprehensive shopping area with drinks, snacks, certain toiletry items and generally useful stuff.
On the right of the above lounge is the Bistro bar area. Quite a selection of drinks and snacks available. All sorts of sandwiches, pizza, desserts and drinks (hot and cold) available. More than enough seating.
This is the breakfast seating area, rather basic when there is no food on display.
There is this lovely chart in the lobby with all sorts of facts about Texas and Grapevine. Also a map showing the airport and the whole Grapevine area.
This Marriott is where there are a whole lot of red squares and Main Street Grapevine is where the green squares are.
Also accessible from this ground floor is the pool area. It has a nice picnic and barbecue area. As a result of it being winter in the United States most hotels I am staying in are refurbishing their pools. You can see this is what is happening here too. By March they should all be available for swimming again.
The room:
A standard 2 x bed room with quite a bit of space between bed and tv unit. It also contains a nice settee with footstool.
This settee is rather nice. Comfortable 2 seater with good material and firm cushion, and a nice poofy footstool, very enjoyable.
Ice bucket and silly plastic cups, also water at $6 a bottle. I guess if you are desperate …
The standard coffee maker. You can use it without the coffee filter to boil water for tea but it is not optimum.
The room does contain a refrigerator and a microwave which can be really handy. I always like keeping some milk and cheese around. And of course it is great for keeping and then rewarming leftovers.
On the table between the beds is a clock/alarm, Bible, Book of Mormon, and notepad and pen.
The desk is a nice size, more than enough space for the lamp, phone and then space for your work. On the table are the 2 bottles of water provided by reception because of my status.
The cupboard contains extra bedding, an iron and ironing board and hangars. Surprisingly for a predominantly business hotel, this hotel does not provide an in room safe.
The bathroom:
A pleasant enough bathroom. Sink with a nice sized counter, tissues and a soap dish.
Shower in the bathtub with a plastic curtain, but useful shelves for your soap and razor. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in squeeze bottles supplied by 39 degrees North.
Conclusion:
And that was it. A basic Courtyard but the Bistro was that bit extra supplying a really nice variety of items, and that settee in the room was really enjoyed.
All in all a rather pleasant stay.
