Review: Liffey Lounge Dublin Terminal 2

Background

Before my Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Amsterdam, I visited the Liffey Lounge in Dublin Terminal 2. The terminal itself is quite mid, so I was happy to have a lounge to access.

Hours & Access

The Liffey Lounge Dublin Terminal 2 is open from 4 am to 9 pm daily. I accessed with my Priority Pass membership, and their website does state that access may be restricted during the hours of 11 am and 3 pm daily.

Once you clear security, turn right and follow the signs to “Airline Lounges.” Access is via the lift or escalator directly along the Airline Lounge corridor. Note: the lounge is not available after US Preclearance. Once on the lower level, walk down the corridor, and you’ll see the entrance to The Liffey Lounge immediately on the left.

Thankfully, once we checked in at the desk, there was space, and the lounge attendant guided us to our seats. I assume that due to limited space, they decided to assign seats rather than let you choose your own.

You can also buy access to the lounge, from €29 per adult online
& from €35 per adult at reception.

The lounge is essentially one long room, with a variety of seating arrangements. And on the far left side of the lounge is a buffet section, with cold cuts, a soda machine, a tea machine, and lots of prepackaged snacks. There are also a lot of prepackaged salads and sandwiches.

Next to the buffet section are a variety of dining style seats, but I was assigned to the other side of the lounge with armchairs. There is also high-top seating along the windows.

The seats were a bit stained, could use a steam clean.

In the back corner of the lounge, there is also an area with communal workstations.

The lounge has four individual bathrooms, two being reserved for men and two for women.

The Verdict

Overall, the Liffey Lounge Dublin Terminal 2 was a fine spot to relax in before a flight, given that Dublin Airport Terminal 2 isn’t the nicest. There was a pretty decent variety of food, though the space is kind of small.
