Southwest Targets Me with Double Rapid Rewards….Again

A handful of flights have really made a difference with Southwest and me. After a few years of no flights with the airline, things changed. Some flights here and there and all of a sudden I’m getting Rapid Rewards double points offers at what seems like more frequent intervals from Southwest.

Granted, these offers have been targeted, but I bring them up here for a few reasons. First, to remind readers that offers are out there and it’s worth a look at your spam filter to make sure you didn’t miss an email. Alternatively, it never hurts to attempt to register. If you’re not eligible, the website will let you know, but I’ve seen more than successful registration for bonus offers by readers who did not receive the email offer. And second, it’s an opportunity to compare data to see what drives these offers. For me, I started flying Southwest some after a break of at least a year….perhaps more, I procured the Southwest Visa during one of the 50K point offers, and I live in Atlanta. I think these three things are behind an increased amount of attention from Southwest Rapid Rewards. Did you receive a bonus points offer from Southwest today?
