Competition for business class passengers is particularly fierce and you can find decent fares for long-haul travel. Qatar Airways have an award winning business class product, which is often cited as the best in the world.
Occasionally there are good deals flying Qatar Airways, which are very handy for frequent flyers in the oneworld alliance. There are two from Europe to Asia right now.
Fares to Bangkok
Flights are available from Stockholm to Bangkok, which are priced at SEK 15,700, which is €1,500 or £1,300. You need to book these by 4 April 2019 and you can travel most of the year, as long as you fly Monday to Thursday and stay a minimum of five days.
A good thing about this is that British Airways Executive Club members would earn 560 tier points, as it’s four long-haul flights in business class. This means you would be just 40 points and four flights on British Airways away from Silver status.
Fares to Hong Kong
I love Hong Kong and I would recommend doing a Hong Kong Foodie Tour when you’re there. The business class deal on Qatar Airways is priced the same as the Bangkok fare above, so SEK 15,700 / €1,500 or £1,300.
With these flights, you can book through to 30 April 2019, again using the Monday to Thursday travel days with a minimum five day stay. Pricing is pretty decent for four flights in total.
Overall Thoughts
Sometimes people see deals like this and think, “Well that’s no good to me, I don’t live in Sweden”. This is true, however it can be very easy to get to Sweden. All you need to do is book an inexpensive ticket out of your city to Arlanda and you’re on your way.
I have flown to Stockholm to take advantage of a Qatar Airways deal and enjoyed their Boeing 787 business class experience to Doha. You have to do it once in your life… or more!

Hi Trent. I do fancy an ex EU flight on Qatar. Last year, we went from Oslo to Bangkok for around £1300 return each on Emirates business class. And it was bloody brilliant! I’ve read your reviews of Qatar and the experience looks great too. Pondering Stockholm to Singapore so we can try the Q-suites….
That is an awesome price, isn’t it? It’s so worth the extra flight to another city to take advantage of that kind of deal. I really want to try QSuites myself, everyone seems to like them. I’ve already booked my annual trip home to Australia from Stockholm thanks to the Cathay Pacific deal, but there’s always next year!
