Among the biggest news for travelers this week, at least for some of us, was that Qantas is going to launch service from DFW this May. Along with that announcement was news that American and Qantas would seek to cooperate more closely in other areas as well. This is obviously good news for the DFW area, and American. It strengthens the Oneworld Alliance, and I would bet that a lot of travelers will look forward to not being forced to transfer in Los Angeles. It’s been a while since I visited the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, but I don’t have fond memories. 🙂
I hope the service is successful, and having the significant feed traffic from American’s largest hub should help make it so. It’s good to see Oneworld getting stronger and more viable as well. Now, to find a reason to fly to Australia!
Well, those who hate LAX could have flown through SFO. No more – this new flight actually replaces Qantas’ SFO-SYD flight.
Some of Qantas flights at LAX use T4 rather than Tom Bradley terminal.
Bill,
I’ve never flown Qantas, but I’ve only heard good things.
How is Qantas is service and their planes? Live in DFW and thinking this might be a good time to make the trip.
