Background:

One unique aspect about having a Priority Pass Select membership is that at some airports instead of getting lounge access, you can eat at a restaurant! I have Priority Pass Select from my Capital One Venture X Card, so I get access to the Yankee Pier at San Francisco (SFO) which is located in Terminal 3. Currently, there are a little over 20 Priority Pass Restaurant’s in the US.

Note: Priority Pass Select Memberships that are granted from American Express do not allow you to visit the restaurants, and the Yankee Pier made sure to remind me that my membership had to have come from a different card issuer.

Hours and Details:

The restaurant is open from 5:30 am – 10 pm daily. It’s quite close to the security checkpoint, near Concourse F, Gate F4 in Terminal 3.

How it works is that you can get $28 off your bill per person. You’re allowed to bring one guest, so that becomes $56 off the bill! You are also allowed to use the credit on tax, so you’re just responsible for the gratuity out of pocket, and any overages of course.

The Meal:

My friend and I visited the Yankee Pier as our first stop, and arrived right before 4pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant had a lot of empty seats, and we were helped quickly.

Service was decent, not super fast but not slow either. They said we came at the perfect time as we got one of the last lobster rolls!

We ordered the famous Maine Lobster Roll ($34.95) as well as the Yankee Pier Salad ($14.50). With taxes, it came right under the $56 credit, so all we had to leave was tip!

The lobster was pretty good, not sure if it was worth $35, but solid to use the credit! I do wish the bread wasn’t so burnt on the edges. The Yankee Pier Salad’s dressing was a bit light for my liking, but I did enjoy the apples and candied walnuts.

Also, here’s a current menu as of March 2022.

The Verdict:

Overall, it was nice to stop by the Yankee Pier before my flight and use my Priority Pass benefit. The lobster roll was quite tasty, and a nice meal to have before a flight. If my travels bring me back to SFO Terminal 3, I’ll definitely try coming back!

Perhaps a little quick edit will help this posting?

You wrote “Currently, there’s a little over … Restaurants”, and I’m sure you meant to say “Currently, there are …” to show more than one.

Quo Vadis

Thanks for the review, definitely hope to try Yankee Pier the next time flying through or from SFO. Enjoyed PP restaurants in DCA and DEN the past two weeks, looking forward to downing the lobster roll at Yankee Pier.
