You might remember my missive about renewing our passports here at MJ on Travel. We sent the paperwork off on May 14, 2012, without paying the expedite fee. The earliest we would need our passports is in August, so it just didn’t seem worth the extra $60 bucks each. Well, our passports have arrived. MrsMJonTravel’s came in on Thursday, June 7th, and mine arrived Friday, June 8th. Less than a month! All in all, I’m pleased. Just a data point that I thought was worth sharing.

Thanks for the data point. We just applied for passports for our two kids on 6/7/12, without paying the expedite fee. It’s nice to know they are ahead of schedule.
I was surprised at the speed too. I paid for expedited service and the whole process took about a week. During that time I couldn’t track it in their system, likely because everything happened so quickly they never had a chance to input my tracking number.
Mine took just three weeks! App in on 3/7 and passport back before April! Daughter’s took 4 weeks including correcting a mistake. They’re movin’ fast!
Similar data point. We just got our two kids their passports, and they arrived in just about a month.
