I got to stay at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Orlando about a week after staying at the Doubletree in Anaheim so this is a review of the Doubletree in Orlando and also a bit of a comparison.
These 2 hotels are almost completely different when it comes to layout. This Orlando hotel has a long entrance hall with the lobby, a bar in the center and stores off the hallway whereas the Anaheim has a small lobby with restaurant, lounge, bar and shops all the way around.
This Orlando hotel is a really large hotel with a second tower and separate villas as well as a section of rooms with 3 floors. All in all about 900 rooms.
Most hotels in Orlando will arrange transport for you to one of the theme parks so you can stay almost anywhere while in Orlando and still comfortably get to the parks. This Doubletree is within walking distance of Seaworld.

Rooms are available for less than $100 a night plus a $15 resort fee which includes a continental breakfast, shuttle service to Seaworld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove water parks, and 2 daily trolley tickets for shopping and dining.
The facilities and stores:
Here is the entrance hall with reception on the right and the Sonoma bar down on the left.
The theme park transport and tickets desk.
Sonoma, the bar in the middle of the walkway. Seating on all 4 sides, it is a fun place, it was busy all the time.
A nice clothing and goodies store. All sorts of really nice stuff to buy here.
An ATM, UPS store and Shuggy Sugar ice cream and candy store.
The Laguna restaurant is quite big. It has a great inside bar and eating area as well as the large outside area..
There is also a musician on the outside deck performing every night.
A nice large pool with waterfall and poolside chairs.
A nice gym called Fitness by Doubletree. Exercise machines, treadmills, weights,
The room:
A slightly more basic room than the Anaheim with 2 beds, desk, chair, casual chair and chest of drawers.
Cupboard has an ironing board and iron.
The safe, refrigerator and microwave under the counter. Desk lamp has power plugs.
A casual chair and small table.
The small desk and chair.
Very useful chest with drawers.
Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries are the same in all rooms.
Small basin with soap and body lotion.
The view from the back of the hotel showing the 3 floor rooms and the second tower. There is a lot of parking available.
The Doubletree is a nicely priced hotel to stay in when you don’t need a lot. There are many different facilities available at the different Doubletree hotels around the country that will enhance your stay.
