SHOULD DELTA COMPENSATE FOR BROKEN LAPTOP DUE TO RECLINING SEATMATE? – Live and Let’s Fly

After nearly having my own MacBook Pro screen nearly crushed over two years ago, I’ve been keenly aware that many airplane seats present a perfect pinch point for your laptop. The ideal viewing angle in limited space goads you to open it as widely as possible. Due to this, I’ve stopped using my laptop on the tray table in economy, unless I’m in a product that offers a few more inches of space and a sliding table.

All that being said, is Delta at fault for a “design flaw?” I personally don’t think so. What do you think?

Why American Express Is Dead Wrong With Their Latest Clawbacks – Miles to Memories

Mark has a good argument here. Amex is not only going after these credits roughly a year after the charges posted (n some cases), but they could also be catching “regular” folks in their net. The RAT is really on the prowl. With Amex so focused on breakage, their credits are becoming close to worthless.

REPORT: HOTELS ARE CHEAPER OVER PHONE THAN INTERNET – God Save the Points

This is an interesting read. I’ve often thought about calling a hotel directly to ask about prices. The one time I did, I asked for a government rate (without ID, as a third-party government contractor). While I didn’t get the government per diem rate, I still received a lower rate. I’m curious whether chain hotels would be more or less likely to offer you a discount over the phone.
