The Marriott World Center is one of the larger hotels in Orlando and there are always many ‘Disney’ families staying there. They do create a different atmosphere to most business hotels so keep that in mind when you decide to stay there. This is a review of the facilities at the Marriott World Center, I reviewed my hotel room a few weeks ago.

This will give you some idea of what is available in the hotel. There is the South, East and North Tower and they all have meeting areas and guest entertainment areas.

Hotel lobby area:

Quite a few shops are spread around the hotel. This is the Lobby Shop right at the entrance to the hotel. Normal shop type stuff as well as sun tan lotion and all Florida type items.

Right next to the Lobby shop is the full Starbucks store. Open quite early for that early morning coffee treat.

A variety of restaurants and bars are spread out through the hotel. Here are some of them.

This is Siro, the Urban Italian kitchen which has great food but is also a bit of a hangout.

For a more casual evening there is High Velocity sports bar and grill.

Mikado is a smarter steakhouse that has great food, as well as really nice take out. I had that a few times while I was there when I didn’t have the time to sit.

This is the large breakfast area and associated bar counter.

The bar right next to the check in desk, a quick pop in on your way to your room.

A nice wide shot of the lobby area. You can see the bar next to the check in on the left and Siro and the lobby shop on the right.

Advertising:

There are a lot of these ads all around the hotel. They give you more information on what is available.

These 6 posters advertise the Spa, the Pool, resort activities, restaurants, the golfing facilities and then the whole hotel.

Stores on the lower floor:

The store which sells shirts and jewelry and mementos of your stay here and at the parks is really nice. There are lovely statues of Disney characters, fridge magnets, sunglasses and all sorts of stuff.

a store with a lot of clothes and shelves

This is the Pantry, a rather comprehensive food area. There are different hot meals that you can order as well as all sorts of cold snacks, drinks, chips, sweets and such.

Once you get down to the pool there is also a pool bar.

Look at all the areas available at the hotel. Convention space, food places, entertainment and indulgence. All are catered for.

This area is put aside for guests to access websites, print air tickets, etc.

Convention area:

There is a full FedEx office available in the convention area. This adds so much to the event experience, having package delivery, printing and stationery readily available.

In the convention area space there is this satellite Starbucks store which I presume is open when a suitable sized event is held.

And finally the view I had from my balcony. I was a bit low so didn’t have the full view but it was always a nice sunrise every morning.

Conclusion:

I hope this helps to understand and appreciate the variety of stuff there is available at the Marriott World Center.
