I spent a few days at the Loews hotel in Arlington but let me explain how there was a mixup. I knew there was a Loews hotel next to the ballpark, I knew that a new convention area had been built across the road from that hotel and I knew that there was a bridge over the busy road to that convention area from the Loews hotel. So my presumption was that this is the Loews hotel in Arlington I was staying at but silly me, of course I was wrong.

These are the 2 websites for the 2 hotels that are across the road from each other. The original hotel is Live by Loews Arlington and the other is Loews Arlington.

I had a pleasant check-in. It looks like they sometimes expect long lines of people checking in together.

My room:
This is the view as you enter the room. Bathroom on the left, all the facilities on the right and the bedroom ahead.

Starting with the unit on the right there is a Keurig coffee machine, 2 supplied bottles of water and water and snacks for purchase.

The almost standard safe and refrigerator are in the counter below. There is also an ice bucket stored on the upper shelf.

This hotel steps it up a bit with 2 nice white robes, iron and ironing board, a lot of hangars, a luggage rack and a large duvet.

The bathroom:
A nice bathroom with a lovely walk-in shower. Wide basin stand, real glasses, soap, cream, tissues, hair dryer.

The shower has a head with adjustable spray, a hand wand as well as toiletries provided by JF Julien Farel, the Science of Hair. Nice products which I enjoyed using.

The basin and stand, soap, body cream and a container with other bathroom supplies like ear buds, shower caps and make up wipes.

The bedroom:
This bedroom is a pleasant size. The unit on the right with drawers and place for putting your stuff and the tv above it, the desk and chair you can use for working or eating and the comfy chair and a side table. It is nice to have a full length window to look out of. The old Texas Rangers baseball stadium is directly across from this hotel and is a great view.

Standard side table with radio/alarm as well as power plugs of various sizes.

Having a room on this side of the hotel is supposedly less desirable as the other side gives you a view of the Cowboys stadium and the Arlington convention center.
But here you have a great view of the old baseball stadium which is now used for college ball as well as other events. Off to the right you can also see the new Texas Rangers baseball stadium which is directly across the road from the old. I think this is a desirable view. You can also see the Dallas skyline in the distance.

This is a view of the Dallas skyline at sunset. The sun sets behind us and it is reflected in the glass buildings of downtown Dallas.

Hotel facilities:
This is the ad in the elevator enticing you to eat at the hotel bar or restaurant or to go across to LIVE! where there are many more restaurants.

There is a large lobby area with this bar in the center and a lot of seating around. Also a wall of tv’s so they can have various sports events to watch.

On the far side from reception is the restaurant. There is also a shop in the lobby so you can stock up with candy, chips and ice cream after coming in from an event.
It is a comprehensive store with Starbucks type coffee being served, daily prepared meals for sale and all sorts of items to drink.

The signs in the hotel do not say ‘convention area’ as all the rooms are defined as ballrooms instead. You can see that level 2 has access to the Spa and fitness area as well as the pool. I did not have an opportunity to go down and see that area.

I had a big problem with the Crosswalk to LIVE! by Loews Hotel. I parked in the 5 story parking area and then wanted to walk across the bridge but it was NEVER open. There seemed to be a card swipe or something but that does not make sense. You would normally park and then go across to the hotel and LIVE! area to eat at one of the many restaurants or before checking in to the hotel but with the Crosswalk always being locked it means you have to go down to street level and traipse across the road dodging traffic. A big letdown.

I have a whole other complaint about the layout of the convention area. The main ballroom the Crystal ballroom is on the 3rd floor but you cannot access the garage from the 3rd floor. You have to take the escalator or elevator down to the 2nd floor, then go across the hallway, and then take the garage elevator up to parking level 3. A massive shortcoming with the construction.
Conclusion:
This hotel has lovely rooms with really nice bathrooms and showers and nice facilities in the rooms. The ballrooms are plentiful and nice to use and the lobby area has a great sports bar and restaurant. You either have a view of the Dallas Cowboys stadium or the Texas Rangers stadium so if sport is your thing then you really cannot go wrong with Loews. I would recommend staying at either hotel if you need to be in Arlington but please check with the hotel before you get there to make sure you arrive at the correct hotel.
