Delta Sky Club Charlotte opens today, adding much needed lounge capacity to one of the busiest airports in the country. Per the press release, and the report by Axios Charlotte, the Delta Sky Club Charlotte looks stunning. A unique take on the lounges at CLT, it joins two (usually) overcrowded American Airlines Admirals Clubs, an (overcrowded) American Express Centurion Lounge, a Priority Pass The Club lounge (with a frequent wait list), and two Minute Suites locations.
Delta Sky Club Charlotte Details
The lounge is located in the new expansion of Terminal A in Charlotte, near gates A38 and A39. Delta is one of the main tenants of the new terminal pier, and the lounge will be open to accommodate for Delta’s flights out of Charlotte, from 5am to 8pm.
The new Delta Sky Club Charlotte is one of the largest airline lounges at CLT. The 14,000 sq. ft. location can fit 246 travelers. The lounge takes inspiration from Queen Charlotte, namesake of the city of Charlotte, incorporating aesthetic choices that reflect the Queen’s era’s taste in fashion and design. The design could feel familiar, as Queen Charlotte is one of the recurring characters in the Netflix original series Bridgerton.
The lounge will have a large buffet, similar to other Delta Sky Clubs. The buffet will feature hot and cold food options, along with two beverage stations. Delta is including a number of quiet rooms that will provide some privacy for business travelers working on last minute emails before their flights. A unique aspect of the lounge is the open promenade over the terminal. Located on the floor above the main terminal, the openness is a first for a lounge at CLT.
Further, an important part of the lounge is natural light. The lounge incorporates large, floor to ceiling windows, as well as a skylight. The skylight sits close to a bar that will serve complementary drinks, as well as signature drinks for purchase.

Closing Thoughts
The Delta Sky Club Charlotte opens today and adds a beautiful lounge to CLT. As Charlotte has grown, the amount of people originating and connecting at CLT has grown as well. With overcrowding at every lounge in the airport, the Delta Sky Club provides extra lounge capacity, hopefully reducing the stress on all the other lounges at the airport. The new Terminal A pier, although quite far from the TSA security lines, provides higher ceilings and wider terminals than the older Terminal A pier from where Delta Airlines recently moved. With the new lounge, Delta will be able to cater to the originating passengers from CLT, many of which are employed by the finance industry.
