Delta Air Lines opened its second-largest Sky Club at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The lounge is part of the newly expanded Concourse B. Spanning nearly 34,000 square feet, the lounge accommodates up to 600 guests and reflects Delta’s ongoing investment in SLC as a key hub.

Lounge Details
Here are some quick facts and details about the new Concourse B Sky Club.
- Size: Approximately 34,000 square feet
- Seating Capacity: Up to 600 guests
- Hours: Open daily; and will likely be open through the last scheduled departure of the evening.

Lounge Amenities
The new Sky Club will offer a range of amenities, most of them tailored to reflect Salt Lake City. Some of these amenities will be:
- Food & Beverage: An expansive buffet and a “Dirty Soda” bar. This will be a unique amenity to this location, reflecting the cultural aspects of Salt Lake City.
- Bar: A wrap-around premium bar will serve a variety of beverages, including hand crafted cocktails.
- Workspaces: Nine soundproof telephone booths for focused work and for taking Zoom/Teams calls. This has become a prized amenity, as I often find myself having to take work calls from the louder portions of the lounge.
- Design Features: A digital wall will showcase panoramic visuals of Utah’s landmarks, paired with nature sounds for a calming 4D experience.

- Design Elements: The lounge incorporates geometric ceilings, terrazzo mosaic flooring, and rich wood tones, reflecting Utah’s natural beauty. A unique dinosaur fossil statute will greet passengers as they enter the lounge.

Delta Growth in Salt Lake City
The opening of this Sky Club is part of Delta’s broader strategy to continue to expand in Salt Lake City. The airline has also added 10 more gates and moved into the expanded Concourse B. These developments are part of “The New SLC” redevelopment program, aiming to deliver a more seamless and elevated experience for travelers.

Final Thoughts
The new Sky Club at SLC looks amazing. Delta’s investment in the Sky Club underscore the airline’s commitment to Salt Lake City. The small details that reflect Salt Lake City’s unique character are a welcome addition. I expect the SLC Sky Club to be one of the most beautiful lounges in the Delta network. The lounge’s design and amenities reflect a thoughtful and deliberate approach to the city Delta calls a hub.
