Mark my words, we are getting close to the breaking point on baggage fees. Delta has raised the price of checking just one bag to $25 big ones. You get a whopping $2 dollar discount if you pay online. Here’s the link to Delta.com. I can only hope that someone says enough is enough, and doesn’t match. But I’m not optimistic.

I am fine with fees that cover actual costs of providing a service. But I don’t think Delta’s cost to transport a bag/suitcase is anywhere near $25.

I completely agree. I’ve posted previously that I have no issue with airlines charging for items that are “plus ups” to the travel experience. However, I think DL is truly testing the high end of what people are going to tolerate with a $25 dollar fee for the first bag.
