Delta isn’t known for making a plethora of award inventory available at the lowest point levels, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Unfortunately, this won’t help for my trip to the upcoming Chicago Seminars, but if you’ve got your eye on some award travel, try and take advantage of this! Based on the eligible travel dates, I’d say Delta is offloading some inventory during a non-peak period and encouraging people to spend their miles. Whether it’s related to the upcoming changes to the SkyMiles program is beyond my capability to speculate. Will you be taking advantage of this opportunity?

Last night I booked an award (ATL-MEX, MEX-ATL, ATL-EWR) for 45,000 SkyMiles. Today, the same itinerary was 39,000! Even though @DeltaAssist said nothing could be done to adjust it, Delta customer service was super friendly and able to make the adjustment over the phone without any issues. Thankful for this promo and the 6,000 bonus miles!
