CVS 90% Off! Got Your Attention? Now Go Do Some Good!

heart shaped hands

We follow blogs. We scour FlyerTalk, MilePoint, and the like. We travel far from home to attend conferences on travel secrets.

We do it all for the thrill, challenge, and rewards of finding amazing bargains to see our world. And it’s great! We are a very creative subculture!

So keep that creativity going… and give back! You’re traveling around the world for pennies on the dollar. Next time your “find” yourself at a CVS or office supply store (just a couple, random examples), check the clearance sections!

Last year, I found racks of quality backpacks at Office Depot for 90% off. I filled my car with them and donated them all to a local charity that fills backpacks with supplies to pass out to those in need.

This week, I found a jackpot at my local CVS in Illinois! 37 pairs of hats and gloves to donate to local kids in need and make their day!

  1. Great idea, Mark! You are such a good bargain shopper, and making this type of purchase for charities is not something that I ever considered before. I’ll be more watchful for opportunities now. Thanks.

  2. As a social worker who works with kids in need (and a newer travel blogger during the times I’m not working), I really appreciate this. I am the one giving these types of donations to the kids who don’t have gloves and hats, and I love to see efforts to help. Great job! I need to check our CVSs here to see if they have these on clearance. It’s still cold here!
