Have you seen the British Airways app backgrounds and Executive Club cards?

Like most airlines, British Airways has a mobile phone application to streamline people’s experience. There are various app backgrounds which denote which level you are in the Executive Club.

There is an amusing glitch at the moment, where Executive Club members can see all the various app backgrounds and Executive Club cards. Clearly this is there for IT testing, but for those of us fascinated by such things, it’s fun to see.

British Airways App Backgrounds

Let’s start with the ones that most people don’t see. Few people see the black Premier card, as this is the invitation only level in the programme.

Another small subset are those who have Gold Guest List cards, which is the highest level normal punters can earn. These are people who fly extremely regularly. Standard Gold level frequent flyers have a different picture, while the card is quite similar to Gold Guest List. Silver members comprise a good number of people and so it’s easier to find.

What About The Rest?

No less thought has been put into the app backgrounds and cards for the lower levels. Bronze members get a building and some cute little aeroplanes.

The flying theme is evident with the blue members. Being a fan of blue in general, I kind of wish this was a higher level card! Last of all is the display for people who have not yet joined the club. Not entirely sure why someone is playing with a starfish in the sand, but each to their own.

Overall Thoughts

Clearly quite a bit of thought has gone into the app backgrounds. The feel is very on brand, which is not surprising as I am sure quite a lot of research and time went into the designs.

Since I’ll likely never be invited to be a Premier member, nor will I fly enough to make Gold Guest list, it is interesting to see those for once. All the rest I have seen as I’ve been at those levels at one time or another.

What do you think of the British Airways Executive Club app backgrounds and cards? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
