A few days ago I won a pair of Sony noise canceling headphones (earbuds) for participating in a Twitter chat. Since I already have my own, I thought it would be nice to give these away to a reader, so….. It’s time for another Reader Contest!!! WOOHOO! 🙂

Like most things around here, we’ll keep this giveaway simple. The rules are few, and the winner will be chosen randomly via random.org. Here’s what you need to do to have an opportunity to win.

  10. Well short of just banning small children on planes, I guess sound proof Ear buds are the next best thing. But I would pay extra to be on a kid free, pet free flight.

    When did everyone start needing a service animal anytime they leave the house? Did I mention I just booked a flight to MCO and already know that the flight will be full of screaming kids and the usual barking service animals.

  44. That would be right in time for my upcoming trip to Spain. My noise cancelling headphones are starting to fall apart after using those for more than 15 years.

  60. Tip: Be careful while requesting Uber in foreign countries. The app malfunctions and allows you to request rides to anywhere while they will drop you midway if the requested drop-off point is outside their service zones.

  63. Question kn the new AA upgrade process. With ExPlat getting automatic complementary upgrades for any flights is this going to mess up any Gold or Plat trying to get upgrades? It’s automatic, so the person will still need to request the upgrade right? They just won’t need to use 500 mile upgrade coupons? Just wondering how this will affect my chances of getting upgrades going forward as a Plat with AA. Thanks!

  81. I have an old pair of Sennheiser headphones I got like 15 years ago when traveling to Europe and back, bulky and well, old. Sure could use these new Sony earbuds!

  92. It would be so nice to have a light pair of earbuds that actually work. The older we get the more we need this type of technology to hear beyond the noise even in movies and TV where the music sodmetimes drowns out the voice. Also, the light weight would make them easy to pack for flights that charge for extra baggage.
