Attention Frequent Floaters

Pay attention to the interwebs tomorrow, as according to Royal Caribbean’s PR Twitter feed, we can expect a major announcement about their upcoming Project Sunshine vessels sometime tomorrow. Could we finally get a glimpse of what these new ships are going to look like? I’ve got nothing but rampant speculation, so I can’t wait to see what the company has to say. My guess: we’ll see the logical extension of the Freedom Class vessels incorporating features from Oasis. And my money is on RCL introducing something brand new and unique to Project Sunshine too. Stay tuned.

  1. I like and hate the big ships. More space, more venues and eating choices but the people. It becomes like a cattle car a some point. We just got back from an MSC cruise in the Med on the Splendida and it was good mostly because we booked into the Yacht Club area and could escape the crowds, get off the ship before the other 3000 people, etc.

  2. Sorry to be am elitist but cruisimg on RCI and the other mega ships is equal to staying at a Holiday Inn. I have been on over 100 cruises and the good thing is that there is something for everyone. I brought my then 11 year old on the Explorer of themSeas and he loved it.I hated it but I was there for him. I am really over large ships. The largest cruise ship i will go on now is the larger ships of Seabourn and they have 450 guests.
I also hate being nickel and dimed to death. I like the all inclusive cruise lines. No surprises at the end of the cruise. You always get what you pay for whether on a cruise on on an airline.
