Are You Earning Miles For Your Pet Food Needs?

Petfooddirect.com and US Airways Dividend Miles have a semi-decent deal going. You can earn up to 10,000 bonus miles for purchasing your everyday pet needs through Petfooddirect.com. MrsMJonTravel and I have a large herd of orange cats that really like to eat. We’ve started ordering all of their food, liter, and other stuff through Petfooddirect.com. You can even order your pet prescription diet needs through their online store. I wouldn’t call this “lucrative,” but if you are ordering pet food, why not earning a few miles for it?

Chase Ultimate Rewards mall also has this store listed at 3X points, for those that prefer those points.

I got excited for a moment, as they carry the grain-free food we buy our dogs, that we can only find locally in specialty pet supply stores, but the shipping charges completely out ways the benefits of this. Other pet supply places offer free shipping over X amount of spend, but sadly they don’t carry our brand. Maybe one day I can turn this big expense into miles.

It works for me because I’d otherwise have to drive 10 miles to pick it up at my vet. Counting my time and fuel costs, I’ll pay the shipping and pick up the miles as a bonus.

What are the shipping charges like? Pet food and litter are HEAVY

Last shipment of 34 lbs was 12 dollars.
