Airplane Inspiration: LATAM Airlines 767
In order to keep everyone’s spirits up while most of us are stuck at home, I decided to start a new photography campaign. Airplane Inspiration will be a series of photographs published that showcase an airline/aircraft/airplanes from my photo bank. I encourage you to comment with your own experience with the airline or aircraft. Please share your photos on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #airplaneinspiration. I will monitor the hashtag and comment on your photos. Let’s all reminisce about the better times in aviation. We will soon be back in the air, but for now, keep up that #airlineinspiration. Today’s Airplane Inspiration is the LATAM Airlines 767.
Location: New York JFK
This photo was taken at JFK Terminal 8. At the time, LATAM was a member of the OneWorld Alliance and had a close partnership with American Airlines. They colocated at Terminal 8, and both airlines were seeking a joint venture partnership for their flights to/from South America.
Airline Snapshot
Since then, LATAM has left OneWorld and joined Delta Airlines. Delta took an equity stake in the carrier and was able to steal the joint venture from American. LATAM now flies out of Terminal 4, Delta’s JFK bastion. With a network of flights reaching from Australia to Israel, LATAM is the largest airline in South America and one of the premier carriers in the world. The family of airlines has carriers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
Keep up the Inspiration:
If you want to share your photos of the LATAM 767, or if you want to share your experience flying on the LATAM 767, tag your photo on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #airlineinspiration. This way, the AvGeek world will stay connected, inspired, and with their eyes on the skies.

Landing Thoughts
I hope this new photo campaign brightens up your day. I know I have been struggling to be on the ground for so long without any clear end in sight. If you want any airline highlighted, feel free to drop the airline/aircraft in the comments. If I have a picture of that aircraft/airline, I will post the photo and a link to your social media too (if you want).

I flew quite a few places with this type of aircraft and airline. São Paulo (GRU) to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) Bogotá (BOG) to São Paulo (GRU) São Paulo (GRU) to Barcelona (BCN) and back São Paulo (GRU) to Johannesburg (JNB) São Paulo (GRU) to Santiago (SCL) São Paulo (GRU) to Rome (FCO) Most of these 767 used to fly for Lan, but as soon as the chilean started receiving the B788 they flipped to the brazilian side. These 767 are one of the last commercial model produced. Actually the Latam 767 fleet is the newest if I am not… Read more »
Love the 767. 2-3-2 in coach is the most passenger friendly widebody configuration out there.
